FIRST CRUSADE FOR 2011
Praise God my brothers and sisters in Christ!
I hope and pray that you are all there fine in Jesus name. Am happy to write this message telling you about the recent crusade that was from 12th to14th this month of January, 2011. I thank God to see that I was able to get there to bless His people and sharing the word of God.
On 12th we were supposed to go early in the morning, but I wasn’t able to go because of some reasons, but I sent Beatrice and went ahead of me and I was the preacher on that day. I tried by God’s help and I left the town (Mbarara) at around 1:00pm and traveled by bus.
The place we were to be on is deep in the village from the main road, so when I reached at the stage I got out of the bus and had to travel by a boda boda to the crusade ground. I do hope that you all know what a boda boda is. Well it is a motorcycle. So the road I had to pass through was very bushy and the boda boda guy was riding very faster so sticks scratched me and I wondered whether I will get where I was going. But thanks to God that I reached to crusade ground and I found that they were waiting for me.
I went on and preached on the crusade though I was tired. There was a good number of people and it is always my joy to see people getting saved on the crusade. When I invited those that want to receive Jesus as their savior, I was overwhelmed with joy to see many people mostly old giving their lives to Jesus. This time I wasn’t able to get any photo because I had no funds to hire a camera man to take photos and hope you know that I don’t have my own camera. Pray that I get mine one day.
Now the next morning, we had a seminar and the message in the seminar was that there are many things that already hinder us (Christians) in this journey of salvation, but we need to keep on going, as we wait for our Lord, who overcame many more challenges than we face. Many people were blessed and encouraged to go on.
Then in the evening I went on the crusade and led it well and many people got saved again and many were healed.
On that day, a drunkard man came on the crusade but refused to get saved. Yet when he got back to his home after crusade, Jesus appeared to him and told him to come back on the crusade ground and get saved. So when we were removing the machines, this man came back running and shouting that “thank you Jesus for saving, thank you Jesus for healing me.” We asked him what happened and he said that Jesus came to him and told him to come back and get saved. We thanked God and prayed for this man and told him to come back in the morning to the seminar. Some people that were there with us said that he can’t be back in the morning, but to my surprise he was that first to come to the seminar early in the morning. We thanked God for him and prayed for him again. We will keep him in our prayers that he may know God even more and become a testimony in this place.
Then on the last day I went in to the seminar and shared the message that changed many people’s lives and this message is my favourite message, and it has blessed many lives wherever I share it and here it blessed many souls again.
I shared my message titled “LOVE IS THE KEY TO HEAVEN” and many people were blessed and touched and at the end of the seminar many people came to me asking many different questions, like “how can I forgive and love my enemy?”… and “how can I feed my enemy?” … and “what does it help me to love others?” I was happy to help them by answering their questions, and some put the word in action immediately, whereby one pastor stood and said, “I have been touched by this message and I have decided to put it in action by giving out my shirt.” He gave a shirt to a man that wasn’t well dressed.
I really gave thanks to God to see that I can share a message and touch on many people even pastors. WHO AM I? I only give the honor and glory to God for using me and I pray that He keep on using me to bless many souls all over the world.
So in the evening I had to leave the crusade ground and go back home, but I feared how to pass in the bushy road again, but had nothing to do. I got to the boda boda again and passed through the sticks again scratching my clothes, but got to the main road. By the time I reached the main road, it had become dark late in the evening and was scared whether I will get home, but when I was there I saw a bus from Kampala to Mbarara stopping to drop off some passengers. I thanked God and ran very faster in hoping to find in a seat, but when I entered in, I found that there were not any seat and they could not stop again for me to get out. Still had nothing to do. So I came back home while standing in the bus and traveled for 2hrs, which was very hard. When I got home I felt much pain in my right leg, and till now am still feeling that pain, but I believe that I will get well soon.
I thanked God to see that I was able to go and bless His people though I met hardships. When I was in the bus standing coming home, I prayed in my heart that may God help me and get me my own means of transport to save me from these sufferings when taking His word and I believe He will do it in His right time.
Then on Saturday Beatrice (my wife) and Joy (our young daughter) came back home safely also and thanks to God that they came well and reached safely.
So I want thank you all for your prayers to me, my family and ministry of evangelism and I request you to keep on praying that may God keep on using me and providing me in all.
I wish you well and God’s blessings in this year 2011.
Love you all and wish you well in all.
