God Saves and Heals Many!!

THE REPORT OF THE EVANGELISM FROM 15TH MAY TO 21ST OF MAY 2011 (BULEMBA MBARARA)BY EV.EVARD

Praise God my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Thanks to you all that has been praying for me on the outreach that I have been leading throughout the whole week from 15th May to 21st May. The place we were preaching in wasn’t that far from home so we could come to the village in the morning and go back home in the late evening. We were traveling by motorcyclists and I was sitting on one motor cycle with Beatrice and the rider. We were traveling squeezed morning and evening for the whole week.

We were doing two things in this week and these were (1) door to door evangelism (we were moving house to house reaching to all people sharing the word of God and people were free to ask what they would love to ask so that they can understand.) (2) Crusade evangelism (this is an open air gospel preaching whereby we connect our machines out in the trading center and we preach the gospel.)

In these two things, we have seen the hand of God saving many lives and healing many people than we were expecting. I was really overwhelmed with what I have seen in the whole campaign because I have seen people of different ways giving their lives to Jesus. We started with the Crusade on Sunday 15th May but I was scared a bit on that evening because few people came and we got only one person that got saved. I wondered why people didn’t come and the truth I tell you is that I was a bit discouraged for seeing not people coming on that day. So I prayed with the team I had and we believed God to do His work. Then on Monday morning we went back and started with the door to door evangelism.  On this day I was overwhelmed with Joy because we got many people believing God in this door to door evangelism. Many people excepted Jesus as their savior and there is something that amazed me on this day. When we were moving house to house, we reached to the house of Muslims and when the owner of the home saw us, she ran away and left there her son and her daughter in law. Her son was both deaf and damp and the same as his wife. The old lady didn’t want to talk to us so she decided to run away and leave the two who could not talk with us. When we reached there we tried to talk to these people but could not reply and we thought that they are ignoring us but they told us in signs that they can’t speak. So we had to leave them and go but kept inquiring about them till we were told that they are both deaf and damp.

It has pained me to see that I didn’t take some photos on this outreach because there were many things that deserved to see in photos. And one of the things was the old man that welcomed us by abusing us with a busing words, when we reached at the place of crusade, there were a drunkard old man and this man was using abusive words against us but we could keep on praying for him in our hearts. And do you know what, there on the crusade ground was a shop selling many things like black tea, mineral water and alcohol. So the drunkards could come in and other people come in too. So when I went in this shop to buy a bottle of water, he too came in and I started to converse with him and as we were talking he could speak tough words but I could try to see how I can preach to him. Then after some hours, he told me that “I am also going to get saved”. I told him today is the gospel and tomorrow is judgment so you better believe today”, he said “I believe now and I want to get saved”.  Do you know what? I told him to kneel down and he knelt down there in the shop/bar/hotel. I led him in the prayer of repentance and as I was leading him in the prayer, there is something that made all people there laugh because the drunkard man said “I will not take alcohol again and if I do, let me become mad”. So he swore never to be drunkard again. Many people there couldn’t believe that he can get saved but he got saved on Monday the second day of our crusade and on Sunday He was the first person to come to church. He even reached at church before me. You will see this man with a big smile in the photos we took on Sunday welcoming new believers to the church.

And another amazing thing was the youth that has been a drug addict and when we reached him, we found him with a packet of cigarette. We preached to him and he said that “I have heard you and I feel that I need Jesus to save me and give me rest”, We said “that’s good” and thanked God but he said not now. We asked “why?” he answered “I want to first finish these cigarettes that I have bought then I will come in the evening and get saved” We said “okay” and prayed for him. Then in the evening when we were on the crusade, we saw him behind the crowd and when it was the time of inviting people to get saved, he came and got saved. We were full of Joy and thanked God to see him doing what he promised to do. We don’t know whether he finished the cigarettes or not but what we witnessed is that he came and got saved and he also came to church on Sunday.

I can’t tell you all things that took place but wanted to tell you on some of them. Another man that God helped a lot was planning to committee suicide. He is the one that got saved on Sunday and was the only person that got saved on that day on the crusade. So on Friday we asked if anyone I having testimony. This man was the first to rise up his hand and came in front. Here is what he said in his testimony “ I have been facing many problems in my life and in my family and I have been having sleepless nights all these years because I have been a drunkard man, drug addict and also have been working hard but could not see the money I work for. So I decided in my heart that I have to kill myself because I am of no use and I am now suffering a lot. So one day I tried to use my shirt to kill myself (committee suicide) but it couldn’t kill me. So I set my plan to go and slow myself into the river on Monday 16th but when I was there on Sunday 15th planning to kill myself on Monday 16th, you came with your machines and I heard you preaching and God told me that today is your day of salvation. I came and got saved. And since you prayed for me on Sunday I have got peace till now and I sleep as a baby. So I thank God for bringing you hear this week to preach to us.”   We really thanked God for this man and came to know that God planed this crusade for the purpose of saving this man. Our God is a good God. Think about this. He wanted to kill himself on Monday but God wanted to save him on Sunday. Thanks to God that this man got saved before his day of committing suicide.

On Friday evening it rained badly nonstop and we were scared whether we will be able to preach on the crusade that evening. Some people on our team were saying that we leave the crusade that day but the spirit of God led us to continue and that day many people came and gave their lives to Jesus and many were healed and so we thanked God. And the last day (Saturday) the enemy tried to discourage us because we were all tired and that day I was to attend my friends give away party but do you know what? I never attended the party because I felt that this work was greater than the party and so I came back to crusade and many people came and got saved and we really thanked God for all people that got saved.

On Saturday we got testimonies of many people that got healed from different kind of diseases. Someone had a stomach pain for a long time and all medicines she took couldn’t heal her but when we prayed for her she got healed. And many others with different issues testified to God for healing.

Then on Sunday 22nd May we were welcoming our new members that got saved in our outreach. Thanks to God for this crusade because it was my first crusade near the church I fellowship in. Most of the outreaches/crusades I had were away from the church I fellowship in but this one was near so on Sunday we had a wonderful service and the whole church was full of Joy and happiness for the new believers that got saved in our evangelism. All of the new believers didn’t come but church got full up and some of the usual church members fellowshipped from out side the church. Our Sunday services usually end at 01:00pm but this time we ended at 02:30pm because of much joy and then the usual church members left and we remained with the new members showing them to our pastors and how act as Christians. I got a chance of getting some photos taken by one of our church members but they were taken during the time of new believers thanking God for saving them. Photos are being uploaded. I will soon have some of the names of these people posted on my page group so that we can keep them in prayers.  Got names of some of them.

Thanks for praying for me dears and may God bless you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. Keep there praying because there are many outreaches and crusades coming but need much support so your prayers and support as possible will mean a lot. I would love to be giving bibles to new believers but not yet able financially.

You May Get Scared, but FEAR NOT!!

Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ,

Thanks to God for this day in this month, you and I have a reason to thank God for this day because nothing we have paid to be alive. Thanks to the lord for protecting us alive till now.

Hope you will be enjoying short messages that am to be sharing daily as the lord will be leading me and I believe it will bless some of you that will be reading on them and today we are sharing a bit on the word saying “FEAR NOT”

We are going to read some verses from the Isaiah 41:8-13 (read these verses). In reading these verses I got some words showing that God knows you and that He chosen you from where you are and again He said that you don’t have to fear (FEAR NOT).

If you are going somewhere and you meet any person in that place that you going in, and then that person tells you that FEAR NOT, It means that there are some things that may scare you. But no matter what things are there to scare you, you don’t have to fear. God knew that there will be some things to scare you, but He is saying FEAR NOT because He is with you and will help you through, in Jesus name.

So my sister and brother there, I don’t know what you are passing through there, but this word may be yours today. God is telling you that FEAR NOT because He is with you and will fight for you and make you laugh in Jesus name. HALLELUYAAAAAAAAAAAA…

KAYANGA CONFERENCE – A Revival in Generosity!!

Hello dears my sisters and brothers in Christ!

Thanks to you all that prayed for me on the conference that took place two weeks ago.  I believe that you have been praying and waiting to hear how was it.

The seminar and crusade really went well by God’s grace, and we saw God blessing and changing His people through the word that He put on our hearts to share. On the leaving day to the conference things wasn’t easy because I reached at the leaving hour yet having no money yet to work on all things for us to go, I tried to all people to borrow me some money to use in the crusade, but all I tried failed. Then at the last hour God reminded me a friend, and when I called him he brought me the money to use in the crusade immediately, and that I pay him back when am back from the crusade.

So when we got the money, we traveled to the crusade. They drove us for about 3-4hrs.  On our journey going, the road we drove on was full of pot holes. We were very squeezed in a small car with four seats that is supposed to be carrying four people, but there were eight of us.  We were not able to hire the big van.  So as we were driving, we reached the place where the road stopped and we were driven through the real bush.  We were all scared wondering where we were heading to, but thanks to God that we reached well to the conference ground.

We finally arrived and found people waiting for us.  They welcomed us with a high shout full of joy and happiness. It was in the late evening, but we had to have a crusade.  So we started and God had led me to minister in the seminar this time not in crusade much as last times.  So when the crusade started I welcomed one of the team members to come and preach on the crusade.  He came on and preached and people were blessed through the word and, praise God,  some got saved.

The next morning we went to the seminar and I had to share the word that God had put on my heart titled “LOVE IS THE KEY TO HEAVEN.” In this seminar were many people and among them were pastors, bishops and reverends/ zone leaders and overseers.  I was blessed to minister unto God’s servants and I can’t tell you how blessed they were to hear this word about love.  I shared much in the word of God and they all thanked God for the message and after the seminar one bishop came to me and said that this word was a real revelation from God.

At the ending of that day all people repented to God and promised to do as the word said to love one another no matter what.  There I led them in praying the prayer of repentance.  As I was praying for them, the ground was full of tears and repentance and and one servant came crying and bowed down and started to wash/clean my shoes with his tears.  On seeing this, God encouraged my heart confirming that this message had touched people’s hearts. I have never experienced this before and I give honor and glory back to Him.

Then the next/last day I had to add on the message to finish it with the sub-title “LOVE GOES TOGETHER WITH GIVING” and in this people were blessed and challenged the more.  At the end of the day many people repented to God for the selfish they have been staying in.  And as a result, they gave about 23 iron sheets for building a church, 2 bulls to build the church, two goats and some gave money in cash and other materials.

All this was done as the result of the word of Love that I shared about (if you would like to read on the verses we read you let me know).   We ended the conference and on closing, the pastor of the church we visited was happily thanking God for the work done and appreciated our time and all done. He gave me a hen with the team and another person gave me a hen too and also the pastor gave us a tin of millet as a team to share it.

So the conference went well and all this I have seen in this conference has encouraged me, because I haven’t seen such a response before, in that people being blessed through the word and then responding to it immediately by giving to church with happiness. Really this was great and I thank God to see that He can use me to bless His people through His word.

God had given me a vision before leaving for the crusade and I was happy to see it happening in people by responding to the word of God by putting in action. At the ending, the zone leader/overseer of the churches in the place called me and Beatrice (my wife) and prayed for us God’s blessings for the work done and prayed for provision to pay the debt we entered in for this conference and also prayed a blessing for the team. It was really great to be on this conference.

That’s all I can share about the recent conference.  Pleasel keep on praying for me on this work.  Some photos were taken but they not look well.  Pray I get a camera so that I can be able to share photos well and recorded videos.

Next Crusade is Creeping Up Fast…

Hello dear beloved in Christ!

Evard has requested that I update you all on the upcoming crusade in a remote village (need to get the name off Evard).

It has crept up on us very quickly, though not too quickly for the Lord. It starts this coming Monday, so we do not have much time left, and this week Evard is to deposit money for the hire equipment, which he doesn’t have yet.

However, some good news… Evard spoke to the pastor (Namara Clever) in that village. The pastor told him that they have worked on raising some money to help. And praise the Lord, their efforts have raise half the funds needed. They raised 300,000/= (about US$140). The total needed was 600,000/=.

So we ask that you commit this to prayer. If anyone is able to help with funds, please let us know, and we can give you details how to send it.

They are anticipating a real visitation from the Lord. Evard tells me that “the place is already covered with the presence of God and that on Sunday two people came and got saved in the service that they don’t want to miss what is coming.” Ohhhh… we thank God… and look forward to mighty things, and many souls being saved and set free.

But just one other matter of prayer… this point it seems unlikely for them to get photos as the place is very remote and costs too much to get a cameraman to go. Evard does not have a camera. So it would be good if there was someone with a camera there. This makes it so much easier for Evard to share with us. If we can see something of what has happened, we feel much more a part of it. So let us pray on this issue.

Thanks to God that my crusade is coming near and now your prayers will mean a lot. Pray for provision on this crusade and God’s hand to touch many souls in JESUS name.

YOUR REWARD IS COMING SOON

Praise God my brothers and sisters in Christ!

After some time I have come with a message that the Lord has put on my heart to share with you to encourage you that your gift is on its way, coming to you no matter what. And am titling it “YOUR REWARD IS COMING SOON”

As we all know is that every work done must be followed by the reward.  I hope that we see it happen in some places mostly on the place of work. I have seen many people struggling to study and their main purpose is that after finishing their study they may get a job and be paid well.  And also there are some people here who are not well educated, but they too get jobs of using their power and get paid. So allow me to say that the reward is the payment of the work done.

You may be knowing it in another way, but for me I will say it like that according to the word of God in the book of Revelation 22:12 …

And behold l am coming quickly, and My rewards is with me, to give to every one according to his work.

So when we read this scripture we see that Jesus is saying that He is coming soon with His reward/salary to pay each one according to the work/job done.  I have mentioned about people who try hard in all means and get jobs so that they can be paid well.  The truth is that here (in Uganda) they don’t pay according to how you work. Here some people work hard and get paid little, and some work little and get paid much and this is mostly based on how educated you are.  Take the example of the primary teacher and university teacher. The primary teacher stays at school teaching from morning to evening and gets paid about $100 a month. Whereas a lecturer at the university comes to the school for only one-two hours, but get paid $500 a month.  When you look at this it seems not right.

That is how things are here, but with God it is not like that. He is a man of His words and He fulfills His words/promises.  He means what He says. As He said that He is coming with His reward to pay every one according to His deeds/work He mean it.  So I encourage you that you keep on doing the work that you are doing for your reward is near.

Now, who is to be rewarded?

Every one of us will be rewarded according to our deeds whether good or bad. If your work is well appreciated you will receive a reward appreciation.  If you deeds were wrong you will receive rewards of punishment. We can see again on Isaiah 40:10 that He will come with His reward.

So I want to encourage you my brother to keep on doing that work you are doing for your reward is near.

There are many challenges we face when working in any part and that is being despised, disappointed and discouraged by people near you.  But I tell you that those people have their rewards so you too have to keep on working for your reward.

You may work and get tired and feel to leave and go because your reward has delayed, but I want to encourage you that your reward must come if you stay in your position. And when you feel like getting tired, know that your gift is near and by the time you leave and get out of your position, you will lose your reward near.

A short story here:

There was a man and he liked cleaning the road. This man used to clean the road in morning and evening and no one was to pay him. So when he was cleaning the road someone saw him and thought this old man was getting much money of cleaning the road. So this other man started to ask himself how he can get that job of cleaning the road so that he can be paid too, but he feared to ask.

So he said that I will keep on checking on this man till I will see him not present. So when he was thinking of that, the other one that was cleaning started to ask himself, “Why am I cleaning this road? Who is going to pay me? By the way what am I gaining in this?”

All the answers he could get were telling him negative and so he felt to leave the work of cleaning. But when he was cleaning, a rich man passed on that road and saw him cleaning for some days.  So he went home and said that I will need to go and thank this man that cleans this road, because he has done a great work and I don’t get problems driving my car through this road. He got a big box and packet many gifts and got an envelope and put millions of money to come and thank the cleaner.

When the cleaner  got negative answers, he decided to leave the cleaning job.  Then when the other man that admired the cleaner was passing by, he  found that the cleaner left the job, so he said to himself, “Let me  clean this road and get the payment that this man has been getting.” So he started cleaning.

When he had just started, the rich man came with a big package to thank the cleaner, he found this new cleaner on the work. He called him and said, “Thank you for that good work that you are doing. Here is your reward, go and celebrate”.

So this man went home celebrating for the reward but the real cleaner went home crying.

What can you get in this story? Mine is that where you feel like getting tired is where your reward is coming.

So I encourage you my brother, my sister, to keep doing that good work that you are doing, and know that your reward is near, no matter what the situation is saying.

People near you may despise you, but God will always encourage you. And if you see that there is nothing you are doing there, try and do something for the Lord so that on the day of rewarding you get a reward too. And it is up to you now to decide of which reward to receive. Good deeds you get a good reward. Wrong deeds you get a reward of punishment. We can read this in the book of Hosea 4:9.

So which reward are you waiting for?

You who are doing good, keep on doing good.  You who have not been doing good, you can change today and start to do good and hope for the reward.

Stay strong in the lord and keep doing good to all as you wait for your reward.
